OSEPA Junior Teacher Vacancies 2023: The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) is filling 20,000 vacancies in the state’s primary and upper primary schools. Candidates can apply online at osepa.odisha.gov.in from September 13 to October 10, 2023. Other methods of application will not be accepted.

Odisha Junior Teacher Eligibility
Age Limit
• Minimum Age Limit – 18 years
• Maximum Age Limit – 38 years
CATEGORY-1 (For 1st to 5th Grades)
- 10+2 with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR 10+2 with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations
- 10+2 with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed. OR 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) Candidates must have Odia as a MIL up to class X or pass an Odia language test equivalent to the Matric level administered or certified equivalent by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
CATEGORY 2 (For Classes 6th–9th)
- Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR at least 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation and B.Ed. OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed. OR 12th with at least 50% marks and B.El.Ed. Candidates must have Odia as their MIL up to class X, or pass an Odia language exam equivalent to the Matric level that is being conducted or certified comparable.

Odisha Junior Teacher Salary
- Junior Teacher (Schematic): A Junior Teacher (Schematic) earns Rs. 11,100/- per month, minus the employer’s part of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF).
- Junior Teacher: After three years of continuous and satisfactory service, a Junior Teacher (Schematic) will be eligible for promotion to the position of Junior Teacher. A Junior Teacher’s monthly salary is Rs. 13,800/-, minus the employer’s portion of the EPF.
- Regular Elementary Teacher: A teacher will be appointed as a regular Elementary Teacher by absorption in the Elementary cadre after three years of continuous and satisfactory service as a Junior Teacher. A typical Elementary Teacher’s monthly pay is Rs. 23,600/-, plus Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowable allowances
