The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has officially released the notification for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-11. This recruitment drive aims to fill 2218 Nursing Officer positions at Level 07 in the Pay Matrix (pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-) across various participating AIIMS and institutes across India.

To apply for the NORCET 11 recruitment, candidates must strictly fulfill the following requirements:
1. Age Limit (As on 13.08.2026)
- The age limit for all AIIMS is between 18 to 30 Years.
- The crucial date for determining age is the closing date of online registration (13 August 2026).
- Age relaxation is permissible for SC/ST candidates (5 years), OBC candidates (3 years), and PWBD candidates (10 years).
2. Educational Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing council recognized Institute/ University.
- Registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council.
- OR Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized Board or Council.
- Registered as Nurses & Midwife in State / Indian Nursing Council.
- For GNM candidates, Two Years’ Experience in a minimum 50 bedded Hospital after acquiring the educational qualification is mandatorily required.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The NORCET examination will be conducted in two successive stages:
- Stage I: NORCET Preliminary: A qualifying examination of 90 minutes duration. It contains 100 MCQs of 100 marks (20 MCQs on General Knowledge & Aptitude and 80 MCQs on the Nursing syllabus).
- Stage II: NORCET Mains: A 180-minute examination containing 160 MCQs of 160 marks. This stage focuses on case scenario-based questions to test nursing skills competency.
- Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer in both Stage I and Stage II.
- Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based purely on the performance in the Stage II NORCET Mains examination.
